Data Policy

This document outlines how Breakfast For Dinner uses the data that we collect from customers, clients, participants, suppliers and contractors in our day-to-day work. We try to collect as little as possible in pursuit of our work, and while we can’t always get it right, you have every right to discuss it with us. You can find out more about your rights in regard to personal data at gdpr.eu.

We only collect data when necessary, limited to immediate personal contact details and details that we are legally obligated to collect for our records and correspondence with HMRC. Any contact information is encrypted, and only Breakfast employees have access to it. We may collect and store your information from our phone records, text, social and email exchanges or form fields on our website. We’ll never collect analytics data from you while you use our website.

We retain contact details indefinitely, as we often have ongoing discussions regarding payment, rights or technical support that we’ll need to attend to.

We also retain financial details for suppliers, customers and contractors for payment purposes and security. This is to ensure prompt payment from us when necessary, and accuracy when making financial transactions.

We may record contributor contact information from release forms during the production process. We retain this information for as long as we retain the relevant footage, which is judged on a project-by-project basis but is usually for at least 12 months.

We use your data in the pursuit of delivering contracted work, but data will not be used for marketing purposes. We will not share your data with third parties. When it comes to our work, the important parts of your rights are as follows:

  • Every user has the right to access – if you request your data from us we can supply a copy

  • Every user has the right to rectification – you can correct any information that you deem inaccurate

  • Every user has the right to erasure – you can request your data be destroyed

If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you. If you would like to exercise these rights, please contact us via email on data@breakfast.video
